James Keller, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Seattle University.
Dr. Keller completed his Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the University of Vermont Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, Vermont and subsequently completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at the same institution. At the Medical University of South Carolina he completed his Dermatopathology fellowship and then his Hematology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Keller is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in Dermatopathology, Hematology (Hematopathology), Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and California.
Outside the laboratory Dr. Keller spends all his time helping his wife Carolyn raise intellectually engaged, curious, kind, and considerate children—William, Madeline, Joseph, and Aiden. And then he unsuccessfully attempts to capture it all in meaningful, relevant, and humorous words in his poetry and prose.
